Our Team


At SPM Resorts, we believe that proper and professional direction provided for a resort facility by management and overseen by homeowner associations’ boards of directors is essential to the continued success of the original plan of development, the complete enjoyment by its owners, members and guests.

An owner of one week is part owner of the entire resort. He or she is the person for whom we work.

    President & Chief Executive Officer
    After joining SPM Resorts in 1999 as chief operating officer, Bill was appointed President/CEO in 2001 and brings vast operational experience. An inspiring leader, Bill has been instrumental in coordinating owner and team member relations and provides guidance and direction to SPM’s team.

    Steve Buckley

    Regional Vice President of Operations
    Steve also has been the General Manager of three SPM managed properties including The Ocean Club on Smuggler's Beach, The Blue Tree Resort, and Bluebeard’s Castle Resort. Steve is currently Regional Vice President of Operations for Bluebeard’s Castle in St, Thomas, USVI and for The Ocean Club on Cape Cod, MA.

    Trish Docherty

    Regional Vice President of Operations
    Trish joined SPM in December of 2001 as general manager of Royal Dunes Resort, Hilton Head Island, S.C. She was appointed as regional vice president of operations in 2003. Trish utilizes well-honed social skills and her broad experience to direct operations for a number of SPM-managed resorts.

    Drew Langway

    Vice President of Financial Services
    Drew began working with SPM Resorts in 2007 in the management trainee program and has held several roles including Regional Director of operations, Regional Vice President of Operations, Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations and VP of Financial Services.

    Jeff Lessey

    VP of Quality Assurance & Transitions
    Jeff Lessey has been in the resort and hospitality industry for more than 20 years, beginning his career in Atlantic Beach, NC. He has served a number of roles at various resorts including Recreation Director, Property Manager, and Rental/Operations manager.

    Chad Martin

    Financial Services Manager
    Chad handles the daily functions of owner account management, ensures maintenance fee dues are prepared and mailed properly for each property, works with collection agencies and owners to bring delinquent accounts current, creates reports, and assists owners and staff with account questions.

    Lanse McColl

    Regional Vice President of Operations
    Lanse joined SPM Resorts in March 2001 as a corporate regional VP trainee and has held a variety of positions including interim general manager and assistant general manager, as well as working in front office and back of house operations positions. As regional vice president of operations, he manages oversight responsibilities for a number of associations.

    Karen Middleton

    Human Resources
    Karen Middleton joined SPM Resorts in January 2002. Karen manages Human Resource functions within the company, including retention strategies, training and staff development, labor relations, payroll services, rewards and recognition, communications and benefits compensation.

    Ken Pfeifle

    Regional Vice President of Operations
    Ken had retired as a successful business owner prior to coming on board with SPM in 2002 and is currently regional vice president of operations for the Hilton Head Island region and general manager of two timeshare properties in Hilton Head.

    Will Potter

    Regional Vice President of Operations
    Will Potter joined SPM Resorts, Inc. in 2005 at the front desk at Schooner II Beach & Racquet Club and has held a variety of positions including Assistant General Manager, General Manager, and Transition Coordinator. Will was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations in 2014 and oversees a number of associations. MORE»

    Revenue Manager
    Tom Saver, Revenue Manager Tom joined SPM Resorts in 2012 as the General Manager of Country Club Villas and has served several roles in the company including Transition Coordinator.
